"My Virginia Tech experience served as the foundation for continuous learning and development. I was on the Forensics and Debate Team and had my time in the spotlight while performing in several theater arts productions. At the other end of the scale, I served on the Student Budget Board and as treasurer of my fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha, in the year we won National Chapter of the Year honors. I was president of the Black Student Alliance and served as a tutor to business school students. All of this while remaining focused on my real goal, a B.S. in accounting from Virginia Tech! The public accounting and consulting discipline requires flexibility and a commitment to learning on a daily basis. It is a profession that rewards versatility, communication skills, and technical excellence. I recognize that the diversity of my experiences at Virginia Tech positioned me for success in my career."
