Biography
C. Bryan Cloyd is the John E. Peterson, Jr. Professor of Accounting at Virginia Tech. He holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University and a B.S. from the University of Kentucky. His research interests are in the area of tax policy and the effects of taxation on business decisions. His research has been published in journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Law & Economics, National Tax Journal, Journal of the American Taxation Association, Journal of Accounting & Public Policy, and Tax Notes.
Professor Cloyd currently serves as the Editor of the Journal of the American Taxation Association. He has served on the editorial boards of The Accounting Review, Accounting Horizons, and Journal of Behavioral Decision Making.
Before joining the faculty at Virginia Tech, Professor Cloyd taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1999-2005) and The University of Texas at Austin (1993-1999). His public accounting experience includes work as a tax manager with Arthur Andersen & Co. (1983-1989) and various consulting engagements with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC and Deloitte LLC.
